LSCI is trauma-informed care in action! Alex Cameron, Director of Clinical Services, Pressley Ridge

LSCI Training in Baltimore, MD.

Here’s what a Special Education Teacher from Hillcrest Elementary School in Baltimore, MD had to say about the LSCI Certification training experience:

Describe the significant learnings you are taking away from this course:

The Conflict Cycle is a skill that allows us to dig deeply into the different ways students express their emotions and let out their stress. It gives us a framework to effectively listen to students, to validate their emotion, to pull out their timeline and to better understand their intentions so that we can successfully place an intervention.

How do you see yourself using the information and skills you’ve attained?
I plan on practicing LSCI interventions in my classroom. I plan on being a voice for LSCI practices in our school, helping other colleagues who are also trained, while trying to integrate LSCI with other school based practices such as restorative practices and PBIS.
