On October 19, 2017, LSCI Institute founder Dr. Nicholas Long was the guest speaker at a citywide meeting of over 200 leaders in Special Education in New York City.
Dr. Long was presented with an award which stated:
The New York City Department of Education gratefully acknowledges Dr. Nicholas Long for 25 years inspiring us to see “Crisis as Opportunity” with Life Space Crisis Intervention. Your legacy will live on in the many lives you have touched.
The “LSCI Conflict Cycle” and “Breaking the Conflict Cycle” were taught by LSCI Trainers, Dr. Carol Dawson and Wynta Nivens to the audience. Afterwards, Dr. Long met privately with the New York City team (picture below) of senior trainers, future trainers and administrators from an LSCI Learning Site to provide support and guidance for the LSCI initiatives.
It was a very special occasion for all.
