In LSCI training, we teach professionals and parents a specific set of skills for helping young people who displace their anger onto unsuspecting, often undeserving others.
While much of our training is serious, occasionally we do like to take a light-hearted look at challenging behaviors, as they are portrayed in TV and film. This clip, from the TV Series Scrubs, shows the dynamic of displacement in action–and shows how this pattern of behavior can result in a long line of people being affected by one person’s mis-directed anger.
