During this LSCI certification training, the trainers will provide daily instruction in the theories, concepts abd skills of the intervention process. Video training supplements and instructor modeling of the process will be used to enhance the learning experience. Through small group activities and realistic role-play scenarios, each participant will be given many "hands on" opportunities to practice the skills and intervention strategies of the LSCI process. Observation and feedback from peers and the instructors will occur throughout the training institute.
Teachers can earn 35 hours for Act 48 credits. The program has also been approved by the National Association of Social Workers and the National Board for Certified Counselors for 30 continuing education contact hours.
